 1926 February 10 - Gdynia received city rights. The first election to the City Council
 1930 Regular cruises connected Gdynia and New York
 1939 Gdynia is the biggest Baltic Sea port and 4-th in the Europe. Gdynia has 113.000 inhabitants

 The Sea Towers - the tallest apartment building in Poland is opened
 2010 The National Rugby Stadium is opened
