Krzysztof Szałucki
Trasurer of Gdynia
Professor of economics, Head of the Chair of Economics and Management of Transportat Enterprises at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk. His research focuses on the economics of transport, particularly concerning the mechanisms of management of transportation companies and the theory of the enterprise with emphasis on the diagnosis of economic processes and behaviour of business entities in extreme and incidental situations.Member of scientific societies: Polish Economic Society, and Transportation Section of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Author and co-author of about 30 books and handbooks, numerous articles, research development projects, commissioned studies and expert opinions, papers and reviews. He is an economic consultant to several dozen companies and institutions in the sectors of transport and municipal services, as well as to local authorities.
Honoured with the Gold Badge of Polish Economic Society. In 2004, professor Szałucki and team were awarded the Prize of the Minister of National Education and Sports. Frequently granted awards by the Rector of the University of Gdańsk.
Awarded with the Medal of the 70th Anniversary of Gdynia in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the municipality.
Professor Szałucki has been City Treasurer since 1 January 2005.
He is married with three children and lives in Gdynia.
