Gdynia, a young and thriving city, has worked out its own specific formula of artistic expression underlying its modernism and uniqueness. There is the Gdynia Film Festival (accompanied by a number of off-festival and other film-related events). There are cinemas and theatres: the Musical Theatre presents musicals, operettas, fairy tales for children, concerts and chamber performances and the Local Theatre running the Summer Stage on the beach in July and August; presents live performances every night and Cinema under the Moon on Mondays. There is an annual Festival of Religious Music in a church, chamber and promenade music concerts in the park on the Kamienna Góra hill, sea shanties during the Baltic Festival of Marine Music, National Guitar Workshops, and major concerts on the seashore such as the Open'er Festival - Heineken Music, and the Gdynia Blues Festival. There are over 20 music clubs in the city centre, museums, galleries, open-air workshops of artistic hand-weaving and hand-woven miniatures Opublikowano: 31.07.2007 00:00 Autor: Marek Grześ
